As a lifelong student of the guitar, Julien (aka Dr Rock), has been writing songs, laying down riff and getting lost in solo’s for at least 4 decades. All of that time he has remained stoically left handed as his hero Jimi Hendrix. From Bath Uni legend college band Queen Mother in the late 1980’s to folk rockers Band of Fools in the 2000’s, Dr Rock has been a stable of the SW guitar slingers for bloody ages.  

As the main song writer in the band, his ability to come up with catchy riffs and hooks has kept BLUEJAY busy since 2015.  

Switching between his trusty Gibson and Gretch, he prefers to write on an acoustic Martin. “If it doesn’t work on an acoustic guitar, it won’t work with a full band. Someone famous said that and I wholeheartedly agree.”
